First approach to lettering

I found a great Youtuber vlog called Boho Berry and she was a whole lot of inspiration from bullet journaling, to organising and having a better life... omg. Just go and check her vlog, I promise you won't be sorry.
She had a challenge called "Rock your handwriting" and that is where it all began. I became obsessed with playing with my handwriting, playing with my own calligraphy styles and then that got me to... (yes, you're right!) HAND LETTERING!!! Oh, the pens and the tools and all of the beauty of it all! 
Living in Puerto Vallarta it is not easy to get such pens and tools and waiting for Amazon to deliver felt like I would have to wait an eternity! So I prompted out what I had in my stationery and drawing hoarding collection and found not one but two Copic Multi-liner brush pens that I had impulsively purchased in Japan! I patted myself on the back and found another excuse to justify my compulsive shopping and I started making letters and full alphabets without knowing what I was doing.
These are my first attempts:
